Indy Batth is the Student Development Officer, International at UBC. Indy completed a Master's Degree in 1998 at UBC, the focus of which was to explore Indo-Canadian girls' sport and physical activity experiences in the school system. As a pioneer on the 'path less beaten', Indy is a strong advocate for the social change process and embraces opportunities to make a difference. While this is often challenging on many levels, she believes in taking a stand, having a voice, and being open to change and all the exciting possibilities it brings. How does she stay grounded on this path? This is where her leisure interests come into play. Indy has paddled with Team Masala, a mostly Indo-Canadian dragon boat team, for the past 5 years, and makes a point of incorporating activities such as hiking, meditation and yoga into her life. Indy is a former Director of the Board of ProMOTION Plus.
