Support Women's Ski-jumping at the 2010 Olympics Games
Final Call to Action

Thank you for supporting the first Call to Action to reverse the IOC’s decision to exclude Women’s Ski Jumping from the 2010 Olympics.
Since the start of our campaign to include women’s ski jumping in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler the following has been accomplished:
Since the start of our campaign to include women’s ski jumping in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler the following has been accomplished:

The Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of the Advancement of Women and Sport (CAAWS) approved a resolution and sent a call to action to their membership;

More than 10,000 have signed the petition to include Women’s Ski Jumping;
-
Letters from the ProMOTION Plus Board of Directors, athletes and other supporters have been sent to Dr. J. Rogge, President of IOC to reverse the decision;
-
The IOC met in Denver, March 24-26, 2009. The IOC staff acknowledge receiving a letter from the women ski-jumping athletes – no decision was rendered; and
-
Media outlets have been following the issue including the New York Times, ESPN, USA Today, The Vancouver Sun, The Globe and Mail and the BBC.
A court hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, 2009. The hearing will take place in the BC Supreme Court in downtown Vancouver, beginning each day at 10:00am. The hearing is open to the public. A great deal of media attention is expected to be present at the beginning of the hearing.
